Roads to Success, formerly Oasis Community Corporation, was founded in 2001 to provide afterschool programs to young people in underserved communities. Roads to Success operates nine after-school programs serving over 700 New York City children. Roads dispatches a committed core of young group leaders, instructors and site directors to provide homework help, academic enrichment activities, exposure to the arts and recreational activities and community service learning opportunities.
In 2010, Oasis Community Corporation joined forces with the original Roads to Success, a college and careers program committed to helping young people make the connection between school and their aspirations for adulthood. This merger not only led to a new name, but it has provided our afterschool programs with a concrete college access and career development curriculum for students in grades 7 through 12.
As we begin this new chapter in our story, we will continue to provide quality afterschool programming to children throughout New York City, while utilizing the RTS curriculum and other resources to strengthen the leadership skills of our workforce and to support their own career aspirations.
