Daniel Stenson is a Partner in the Client and Product Solutions group at Apollo, where he serves as the Asset Class Lead Product Specialist for the firm’s Financial Institutions Group (FIG) and Hybrid verticals. In this role, Daniel brings together deep technical expertise and client-facing leadership, overseeing strategic solutions for Apollo’s largest cross-platform limited partners. His career spans more than two decades in alternative investments, during which he has supported a broad range of strategies including private equity, natural resources, direct lending, real estate, insurance, and hybrid capital solutions.

Daniel began his career at Credit Suisse in the Private Fund Group, where he worked on institutional capital raising for alternative asset managers. In 2009, during the global financial crisis, he joined Apollo Global Management and has since played a pivotal role in the firm’s growth and global reach. In 2014, Daniel relocated from New York to London to lead product coverage for Apollo’s European-based strategies, a role that expanded his global perspective and impact. Today, he splits his time between London and New York, continuing to build trusted client relationships while helping articulate Apollo’s investment strategies with clarity and conviction.

Daniel’s connection to Roads to Success is rooted in a deep awareness of the privileges and opportunities that shaped his own life and career. Over the past decade, he has become increasingly committed to helping extend those same advantages to young people who may not otherwise have access to them. Joining the RTS Board reflects his belief in the power of early support, mentorship, and opportunity to help narrow inequities and create meaningful pathways for New York City youth. He is energized by RTS’s mission and optimistic about the organization’s continued ability to make a lasting difference.

Outside of work, Daniel prioritizes time with his wife and three children, recognizing the preciousness of these years as his family enters new chapters. He enjoys traveling together, especially family ski trips, attending school and sporting events, and keeping up with their two dogs, including a new puppy who keeps the household lively. In his spare time, Daniel also enjoys live music and following Chelsea Football Club, and hopes one day to finally learn how to play the guitar he picked up during the pandemic.
