Mary Wang is a Venture Capital Investor at Capital One Ventures, where she helps identify and evaluate investments in fintech and consumer startups aligned with Capital One’s strategic priorities. Her career spans venture capital, impact investing, investment banking, and strategic finance at an early-stage startup, giving her a strong foundation in finance, strategy, and relationship-building.

Mary’s commitment to youth development is rooted in both personal experience and a belief in the power of mentorship. As a Girl Scout camp counselor, she worked directly with young people and saw firsthand how guidance and exposure can shape confidence and aspirations. As the child of immigrants, Mary and her siblings navigated college applications, career exploration, and professional networks largely on their own. The mentors who supported her along the way played an important role in shaping the opportunities she pursued and inspired her commitment to helping make similar guidance and resources accessible to others.

As a Roads to Success Associate Board member, Mary brings her analytical perspective, professional network, and passion for opening doors for young people who may not otherwise have access to them. She is also a member of All Raise and Synergist, organizations supporting women in investing, where she has mentored others and continues to champion greater access and opportunity.
