Celebrating Commitment to Community

At Roads to Success (RTS), our after-school programs are more than spaces for learning. They are hubs of care, leadership, and community connection. Over the past month, our AmPark after-school team truly embodied this spirit through an inspiring show of service, collaboration, and compassion.

Guided by a deep commitment to supporting families and neighbors in need, the AmPark staff and role models led a community donation drive that resulted in an outpouring of generosity. Community members donated coats, sneakers, clothing, and other essential items, each contribution a reminder of the power of coming together.

The team went a step further by carefully sorting and organizing every item to ensure a smooth and thoughtful distribution process. Their attention to detail and care ensured that donations were delivered with dignity and purpose.

The AmPark team also strengthened community ties through meaningful partnerships. On Monday, January 19, they collaborated with Esperanza Preparatory for a special Martin Luther King Jr. Day event, honoring Dr. King’s legacy through service and unity. The event was a wonderful success and reflected the shared values of community uplift and collective action.

Continuing this momentum, on Tuesday, January 20, the team extended their impact beyond the school by donating items to Project Bravo, a local prevention center in the Bronx. This partnership ensured that resources reached even more individuals and families who could benefit from them.

Through their dedication, teamwork, and heart for service, the AmPark team demonstrated what it truly means to be RTS role models. Their actions remind us that meaningful change happens when compassion meets action, and when strong partnerships support a shared mission.

We are deeply grateful to our AmPark staff, community members, and partners for making this effort possible. Together, we continue to build stronger, more connected communities, one act of service at a time.
