Roads to Success Shines as Nonprofit of the Night at the Brooklyn Nets Game

On October 24th, 2025, Roads to Success (RTS) took center stage at the Brooklyn Nets vs. Cleveland Cavaliers game at Barclays Center, recognized as the evening’s Nonprofit of the Night.

It was a proud and inspiring moment for our organization as Sheila Duke, Chief Executive Officer; Gregorio Concha Toro, Board Chair; and Chrissy Andre, Chief Administrative Officer, stepped onto the court for the announcement. As they stood at center stage, images of RTS youth filled the arena’s big screen. It was a powerful reminder of the lives transformed through afterschool programs, career pathways, and community partnerships built over the past 25 years.

This recognition came at a special time for RTS, as the organization celebrates 25 years of impact serving New York City’s most underserved neighborhoods. What began as a small initiative has grown into a citywide movement that now reaches more than 7,000 children, youth, and families each year, helping young people discover self-esteem, self-reliance, and empathy.

Beyond the recognition, the RTS team also hosted an information table at the Barclays Center concourse, engaging with countless spectators throughout the evening. Visitors stopped by to learn about RTS’s mission, explore volunteer and partnership opportunities, and share their enthusiasm for youth empowerment. Many expressed how meaningful it was to see an organization so deeply committed to investing in youth, our future leaders.

The night was filled with pride, gratitude, and community spirit. It was a reflection of the shared belief that when we invest in young people, we invest in the future of our city.

As RTS moves forward into its next chapter, the organization remains steadfast in its mission to inspire and empower young people through education, enrichment, and opportunity.
